Ashleigh Aston Moore’s career

Moore began her acting career at the age of four under the guidance of her first-grade teacher. Her first acting gig was when she wore a chicken suit for a White Spot restaurant commercial. After that, she went on to appear in other commercials before landing the dual roles of “Alpha” and “Donna” in the CBC Television children’s series The Odyssey in 1992.
The show ran for three seasons, ending in 1994 with 39 episodes. Moore’s performance in The Odyssey earned her a YTV Achievement Award in 1995. However, her best-known role was the 1995 coming-of-age ensemble comedy-drama film, Now and Then, where she played the child version of Christina “Chrissy” Dewitt who was portrayed as an adult by Rita Wilson. She had to put on an extra 20 pounds to play that role, a responsibility that later proved to be a bit too much for a 12-year-old. As a result, Moore had to suffer self-image issues all her life.
In addition, Moore guest-starred on popular television shows such as Madison, Northern Exposure, and Strange Luck. In 1997, she stopped acting and returned to Vancouver, Canada, where many of her family members were located.
